Gaming cafés in Powai, Chembur, Ghatkopar and Mulund

Most "best gaming café in Mumbai" lists stick to the Western suburbs. But if you live along the Central or Harbour line, or around Powai, you don't need to cross the city for a good session. Chembur, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund all have cafés, and Powai has a couple of solid PC options.

This guide covers the eastern suburbs, from Powai across to Chembur and up to Mulund. As always, we've only included details we could check from the café's own channels, its business listing or its Gamehood page. A lot of cafés here don't publish prices, so we've said "ask" rather than invent a number.

GearUP is on the first floor of Powai Plaza on Central Avenue (Shop 172). It's a PC café with a 4.4 rating from over 370 Google reviews.

• Hours: 9:30 am to 10 pm, per its Google listing.

Nexora Gaming Lounge (Chandivali)

Nexora is one of the better-documented cafés on Gamehood. Its listing shows 7 PCs with Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, VALORANT and Fortnite, and 4 PS5s with EA FC 26, WWE 2K25, God of War Ragnarök and Ghost of Yōtei, among others.

• Price: ₹90/hour for PC, per its listing.
• Happy hours: Weekdays from 11 am to 4 pm, 50% off (up to ₹200). Weekends from 11 am to 3 pm, 40% off (up to ₹180).
• On Gamehood: Nexora Gaming Lounge

Those happy hours make Nexora one of the cheapest ways to play in Powai if you can go in the daytime.

Vikhroli and Ghatkopar

Exogos Gamezone (Vikhroli East)

Exogos is in Tagore Nagar, Vikhroli East (Office 1, Adityaraj Landmark). Its business description lists PC and PS5 gaming and gaming chairs, and it has a 4.9 rating on Google.

• Hours: 10 am to 10 pm, Monday to Saturday, and 2 pm to 10 pm on Sunday, per its Google listing.

Mini PS Gaming Station (Ghatkopar East)

Despite the "mini" in the name, this café has one of the strongest followings in the area: a 4.9 rating from about 380 Google reviews. It's in Shop 12, ground floor of Neelyog Square Mall, Ghatkopar East.

• Setup: PS4 and PS5, according to its business description.
• Games it lists: GTA V, WWE 2K23, Injustice 2, Call of Duty and FIFA 23.
• Extra: It also rents out games and consoles.
• Hours: 9 am to 10 pm, per its Google listing.

Chembur and Govandi

Just One More Game (Sindhi Society, Chembur)

A PS5 café in Nichaldas Market, Sindhi Society, with a perfect 5.0 from nearly 400 Google reviews. That's a lot of happy customers for a console café. Reviews also mention food.

• Hours: 11 am to 11 pm, Monday to Thursday, and until 11:30 pm Friday to Sunday, per its Google listing.
• Price: Not published by the café. Reviews quote different numbers over the years, so ask.

XO Gaming (Chembur)

XO is above Balaji Tyres, near Kyros Lounge, with a 4.8 rating from over 260 Google reviews. It has PCs and PS5s, and its business description also lists VR, which we didn't see at the other Chembur cafés. It serves food too.

• Hours: 10:30 am to 11:30 pm daily, per its Google listing.

GenZ Gaming Zone (Govandi)

If you're on a tight budget, GenZ is worth knowing about. Its own business description advertises:

• PC: from ₹30/hour
• PS5: from ₹50/hour per person
• PS2: from ₹30/hour per person, for a bit of nostalgia

These are "starting from" prices, so the game or time of day may change what you pay. Its listed games include GTA V, NBA 2K24, FIFA 23, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarök.

MetaDrive Arcade (Govandi East)

Not a café, but if you love racing it's close by. MetaDrive's Mumbai arcade is on the 2nd floor of Sanjona Chamber, Govandi Station Road, and offers static, 3DOF and 6DOF motion simulators in 15, 30 or 60-minute slots. Check the current Mumbai rate on its website or by phone before you go.

Bhandup and Mulund

The Sports Foundry Esports Zone (Bhandup West)

Part of The Sports Foundry on LBS Marg in Subhash Nagar, Bhandup West. It lists PC and PS5 gaming and has a 5.0 rating on Google (29 reviews).

Gen Z Playstation Gaming & Cafe (Mulund West)

A PlayStation café in Veena Nagar Phase II with a 4.8 rating. Reviews say it hosts birthday parties and serves snacks.

• Supreme the gaming cafe (Murar Road, Mulund West) lists PS5 and is open 9 am to 11:30 pm, per its Google listing. Its newest reviews are from 2024 and the phone numbers online don't agree, so confirm it's open.
• Gamer's Heaven Gaming Zone (Mahatma Phule Road, Mulund East) is a PC café. Reviews mention Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2. Its newest review is from mid-2024, so call first.
