The first 10 things to do in GTA 6's Vice City, based only on Rockstar's official trailers and website: Ocean Beach, Little Cuba, boats, nightlife and more.

Based on Rockstar's official trailers and website. GTA 6 isn't out until 19 November 2026, so everything below comes from what Rockstar has officially shown: Trailer 1, Trailer 2, the Launch Trailer and the official GTA VI website. We'll update this post after launch, once we've played it. Last checked 3 November 2026.

Vice City is back, and this time it's in HD with a whole state wrapped around it. Rockstar sums the city up in one line on its official site: "We're a long way from the '80s, but Vice City is still the sun and fun capital of America."

So what should you actually do once you get there? Here are the first 10 things to do in GTA 6's Vice City. Every one is tied to something Rockstar has shown in a trailer or on the official GTA VI website, and we've noted the source under each one. No leaks, no rumours, no made-up missions.

One honest caveat: Rockstar hasn't said how early in the story you get the run of the city. The Launch Trailer opens with Jason working at a boat yard in the Leonida Keys, not in Vice City. So treat this as a list for when the city opens up, not a step-by-step for your first hour.

1. Hit Ocean Beach first

Pastel art deco hotels, bright white sand, jet skis on the water. If you played the original Vice City, this is the postcard you've been waiting 20-odd years to walk into. Trailer 1 opens on the beach, with dolphins, boats and jet skis in the water and a helicopter overhead, and Rockstar's own Vice City description leads with "the pastel art deco hotels and bright white sands of Ocean Beach." Start here, look around and soak it in.

2. Go car-spotting on the beachfront

Trailer 1 has a long shot of a beachfront road lined with expensive sports cars and convertibles, with more rolling past. It's Vice City at its most show-off. Cruise the strip slowly, check out what's parked and pick your favourite. What you do next with it is between you and the police.

3. Wander through Little Cuba

Vice City isn't all beaches and supercars. Rockstar's official city description name-checks "the bustling panaderías of Little Cuba," a nod to the Cuban bakeries Miami is famous for. It's the neighbourhood to explore on foot when you want street life instead of skyline.

4. Browse the bootlegs at the Tisha-Wocka flea market

Same official description, same energy: "the bootleg brands of the Tisha-Wocka flea market." GTA has always been at its funniest in its fake brands and knock-offs, so a whole market of bootlegs is worth a slow lap. We don't know yet what you can buy there, so go for the parody signs and stay for whatever else turns up.

5. See the ships at the VC Port, then take a boat out

Rockstar calls the VC Port "the cruise ship capital of the world." Trailer 1 shows a pack of speedboats racing through the bay past a huge container ship at the port, and an official screenshot shows a speedboat heading towards waterfront buildings on piers with the Vice City skyline behind it. Translation: get on the water. Vice City looks completely different from a boat.

6. Pay a visit to the Jack of Hearts

Every Vice City needs a club owner who's a bit too powerful. Meet Boobie Ike. Rockstar's character profile calls him "a local Vice City legend — and acts like it," someone who turned his time on the streets into "a legitimate empire spanning real estate, a strip club, and a recording studio." His line on the official site: "It's all about heart — the Jack of Hearts." Rockstar's official screenshots show him holding court in his club, cash in hand. Its warning: "Boobie's all smiles until it's time to talk business."

7. Find the Real Dimez at a street takeover

In Trailer 1, a night-time street takeover has cars spinning doughnuts in an intersection while two women dance on a car roof and the crowd films it on their phones. Those two are Bae-Luxe and Roxy, aka the Real Dimez, a rap duo who, according to their official profile, turned "spicy rap tracks and a relentless social media presence" into a career. They've just signed with Boobie and Dre'Quan's label, Only Raw Records. If you see a crowd of phones out at midnight, you know who's there.

8. Go out after dark

"When the sun fades and the neon glows, everyone has something to gain — and more to lose." That's Rockstar's own tagline on the official site, and the screenshots back it up: the Vice City skyline at night with a lit-up Ferris wheel, and Lucia in a packed club with dancers and flashing lights all around her. Trailer 1 also cuts to a crowded nightclub dance floor. Vice City by day is postcards. Vice City by night is the real show.

9. Expect pure Leonida chaos

The funniest part of Trailer 1 is shot like social media clips: an alligator being pulled out of a backyard pool, an alligator wandering into a convenience store on CCTV, a man gardening in his underwear, a guy dancing on a busy highway, and plenty more. Official screenshots add a gang of dirt bikes and ATVs pulling tricks on a Vice City road, and a woman taking a selfie in front of an arrest. Rockstar even named a section of its website "Only in Leonida". Keep your eyes open, and maybe your phone camera too.

10. Find your radio station

Rockstar has already named some of the radio hosts on the official site's music section. There's a pop station it calls "the Vice City institution," hosted by Robyn and Alex, plus modern Latin from El Martillo and La Gata, amapiano and Afrobeats from Burna and Palmsy, southern rap from Trick and Trina, "airboat-ready renegade country" from MW and Delta Dawne, and metal from DJ Kerry and DJ Tom. The Launch Trailer also debuted "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice, who wrote the game's original score. Pick your station before you pick your car.

Who you'll be playing as

GTA 6 has two leads, and Rockstar has published official profiles for both.

  • Jason Duval "wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder." He grew up around grifters and crooks, did a stint in the Army and ended up in the Keys working for local drug runners.
  • Lucia Caminos "Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk." Fighting for her family landed her in the Leonida Penitentiary, and she's out now and "committed to her plan — no matter what it takes."

Rockstar's official story summary: "when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida."

Beyond Vice City

Vice City is only part of the map. Rockstar's official site describes five more regions of Leonida:

  • Leonida Keys: "The dress code is casual, the bars are loaded." An island chain with boats, beach bars and diving.
  • Grassrivers: wetlands full of gators and airboats, where "there are far deadlier predators and weirder discoveries among the mangroves."
  • Port Gellhorn: a faded beach town of "cheap motels, shut-down attractions, and empty strip malls."
  • Ambrosia: sugar-refinery country, where "the local biker gang provides almost everything else."
  • Mount Kalaga National Park: hunting, fishing and off-road trails up on the state's northern border.

Rockstar hasn't published a map size, so ignore anyone quoting exact numbers.
