The Crew Motor Fest

Ubisoft Ivory Tower · Ubisoft

The Crew Motor Fest is Ubisoft Ivory Tower's 2023 open-world racing game, set on the Hawaiian island of O'ahu during a festival celebrating car culture. It is the third game in The Crew series and the most relaxed and polished one so far. Instead of a single story, the game uses Playlists, themed collections of races that each focus on a style or era of driving. One might be about Japanese tuner cars, another about classic American muscle, another about electric cars or vintage racers. They are short, guided and a great way to try a wide variety of vehicles without much grinding. Beyond cars, you can switch to planes and boats at any time with the press of a button, which keeps exploring the island fun. Online, the headline event is the Grand Race, a multi-stage race with 28 players that changes vehicle types between sections. Other online modes include a demolition-style event and racing against other players' ghost times. Playing at a cafe PS5 or PC works well, with a controller. Racing wheels are supported, but like Forza Horizon, Motor Fest is designed to feel accessible on a pad. Friends can drive together in the open world if they each have their own station. A Ubisoft account is required. Tips to get started Pick Playlists that cover car types you are not familiar with; they unlock interesting cars quickly. Try the plane mode on the island's coasts for some of the prettiest views in any racing game. Use the assists while learning to stop spinning out in powerful cars. And keep your car's level up by entering events in different categories. Typical session Most races take three to seven minutes. An hour is enough to finish a couple of Playlists. The Grand Race takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Who should play Car fans who like variety, players who want a calm open-world racer, and groups wanting to drive together without a steep learning curve. It is rated T.
