NBA 2K26

Visual Concepts · 2K

NBA 2K26 is the newest yearly basketball game from Visual Concepts and 2K, and the one most basketball fans will ask for at a gaming cafe. Like its predecessors, it aims to feel like a live NBA broadcast, with commentary, replays and animations based on real player movement. How it fits a cafe visit For most groups, the best mode is still the simplest one: Play Now. Pick your favourite teams and play a head-to-head game on one screen. If four of you come together, go two-versus-two on the same team and argue about who should have passed. It is easy to understand and very social. Players who own the game at home may want to sign into their accounts for MyCAREER, where you guide a created player through their career, or MyTEAM, the fantasy team-building mode with player cards. MyNBA lets you run a franchise across seasons. These long-form modes are better suited to home play, so at the cafe keep it simple. Setup PS5 or PC, with a controller for each player. A large screen makes a big difference for basketball, where you need to see the whole court. Local play does not need an online account. Getting started Before your first game, spend a few minutes in the practice gym learning to shoot with the shot meter. In games, pass the ball around and look for an open shooter rather than charging at the basket. Defend by holding the stance button and staying between your player and the hoop. And choose teams with stars you know; it is much more fun when you can recognise who you are controlling. Time budget With short quarters, a game takes around 20 minutes. A pair can play three in an hour. Groups running a small tournament should budget two hours. Who should play Basketball fans, friends who enjoy competitive sports games, and anyone who wants a polished, easy-to-start head-to-head game. It is rated E.
