EA SPORTS FC 25

EA Vancouver · EA Sports

EA SPORTS FC 25 is EA Vancouver's football title from the year before FC 26, and plenty of cafes still keep it installed because regulars know it well and the controls feel familiar. If FC 26 is busy or not available at your station, FC 25 is a perfectly good substitute for an evening of football with friends. The big addition in FC 25 was Rush, a smaller-sided five-a-side style mode with four outfield players and a keeper per team. It plays faster and messier than full eleven-a-side, which makes it great for groups where not everyone is a hardcore football gamer. FC 25 also brought in FC IQ, a reworked tactics system based on player roles, which matters more if you play Career mode or Ultimate Team seriously. How it works at a cafe For two players, a Kick-Off match on a single PS5 is the classic setup. Couch co-op also works: two friends on the same team against the CPU is a relaxed way to introduce someone who has never held a controller. Groups of four can split into two-versus-two on one screen, which is chaotic and very fun. Setup to ask for A PS5 station with a big screen and at least two controllers. If you are four, confirm the counter can give you four charged pads before you start the clock. Beginner pointers Use the left trigger to shield the ball when a defender is close; it buys time for a teammate to make a run. On defence, do not chase the ball carrier with your sprint held down. Jockey, stay between the attacker and goal, and let the AI defenders cover passing lanes. Time to budget Roughly 15 minutes per full match with default half lengths. One hour gets a pair three or four matches. Rush games are shorter, so you can squeeze in more in the same slot. Should you choose FC 25 over FC 26? If the newer game is available, most players will prefer it for the updated squads. But FC 25 is still a solid, well-balanced football game, and for casual friendly matches the difference barely matters. Pick whichever the cafe has free and get playing.
