Cricket 24

Cricket 24 is Big Ant Studios' 2023 cricket game, published by Nacon. For a country that lives and breathes cricket, it is a natural pick for a gaming cafe session, and it is one of the few modern games where you can play a full match against a friend on the same console. What you can play Cricket 24 includes T20, ODI and Test formats, plus shorter custom matches. There is a career mode where you create a player and work your way through domestic and international cricket, and an academy where you can create and edit players and teams. Online multiplayer lets you face other players. Playing with friends Local multiplayer is the main attraction at a cafe. A T20 match between two friends, or even a shortened five-over game, takes a fraction of the time of real cricket and is full of moments to celebrate or regret. For a bigger group, make a small tournament where each player picks a team. Setup PS5 or PC with two controllers. The PS5 version is the most common cafe setup. Batting and bowling tips Batting in Cricket 24 uses both analogue sticks: one for footwork and one for shot direction. Leave balls outside off stump early in the innings, and wait for the bad ball before attacking. Watch the bowler's run-up and the pitch marker to judge length. When bowling, mix up your line and length; bowling the same delivery every ball lets your friend settle in. Take the time to learn spin bowling too. Time A five-over game can take about 15 minutes. A full T20 game takes around an hour. Plan two hours for a tournament with a group, or play shortened games. Who should play Cricket fans, friend groups who want to settle an India vs Australia rivalry on screen, and players who want something more relaxed than shooters. It is rated E, so it works for all ages.
