Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Insomniac Games · Sony Interactive Entertainment

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is Insomniac Games' 2023 sequel, published by Sony. It brings together Peter Parker and Miles Morales as two Spider-Men in a bigger New York that now includes Brooklyn and Queens. The story pits them against Kraven the Hunter and the symbiote Venom, with Peter's black suit taking centre stage. The game switches between Peter and Miles, each with their own abilities. Peter gets symbiote powers later in the game; Miles has his electric venom attacks and camouflage. Traversal is a highlight: web-swinging is faster and smoother than before, and the new Web Wings let you glide across the city. Swinging around Manhattan simply feels fantastic. Is it worth playing at a cafe? Spider-Man 2 is single-player, but it is a showcase game. If you have never played on a PS5 or want to try it before buying, a cafe session on a big screen is a great way to do it. Friends can pass the controller between missions or take turns exploring. Where to play it PS5 is the original platform and the most common cafe option. It was also released on PC. A large screen and good sound bring out the best in it. Rated T. Beginner tips Practice swinging in open areas before tackling missions. Use the dodge button when you see the red warning signs. Switch between gadgets in combat; they are often more effective than punches. Try both characters in free roam to see which style you prefer. Do some side activities early to unlock skills. How long to book The story takes around 15 to 20 hours. A cafe session of two hours will let you get through the opening and a few missions. Best for Spider-Man fans, players new to PS5, and anyone who loves open-world superhero games. If you have not played the earlier games, the story still works, but the original Marvel's Spider-Man and Miles Morales give more background.
