The Last of Us Part I
Naughty Dog · Sony Computer Entertainment
The Last of Us Part I is Naughty Dog's 2022 remake of the 2013 classic, rebuilt for PS5 and later released on PC. It tells the story of Joel, a hardened smuggler, and Ellie, a 14-year-old girl who may hold the key to a cure, as they cross a post-apocalyptic United States twenty years after a fungal infection collapsed society. The story is widely considered one of the best in video games, and it inspired the HBO television series. The remake keeps the original's structure, but adds modern visuals, improved animations, smarter enemies and accessibility features. It also includes Left Behind, a prequel chapter about Ellie. Gameplay mixes stealth, survival and combat. Ammunition and supplies are scarce, so you often sneak past enemies, craft tools like shivs and molotovs, or fight only when you have to. The infected, especially the blind Clickers that hunt by sound, make some areas extremely tense. Playing it at a gaming cafe It is single-player, and it is a story-heavy game, but a cafe session is a good way to see if you like it before buying. Watching with a friend works, too. Where to play it PS5 with a good TV or monitor and a headset. Sound is crucial, especially for the Clickers. Rated M. Tips Use Listen Mode to see enemies through walls. Craft shivs to escape Clickers if they grab you. Avoid fights when you can; sneaking saves ammo. Search every room for supplies and parts. Upgrade your weapons at workbenches. Session length The story takes around 15 hours. A two-hour session gets you through the opening and the early chapters. Is it for you? Players who love strong storytelling, fans of the HBO show, and anyone interested in survival-horror stealth. If you finish it, The Last of Us Part II continues the story.
